Larry Poole
Larry Poole has been the lead strength and conditioning coach at Flash Athletic Academy since 2015.
Larry is a seasoned hockey coach and strength and conditioning expert with a rich history in youth sports development. A former player for Brampton Minor Hockey (1970-1982), Larry earned his Honours Bachelor of Health and Sciences (BA Sc. Kin) in 1989. His coaching career spans several decades, including roles as a coach for Brampton Minor Hockey at the AA and AAA levels (1989-2017), and positions with the Halton Hurricanes and Credit River Capitals. Larry also served as the head instructor at Brampton Minor Hockey School and was a board member from 1997 to 2003. Currently, he is the lead strength and conditioning coach at Flash Training, Flash Athletic, where he has worked since 2015. His credentials include certifications in personal fitness, sports nutrition, functional fitness, and more, underscoring his commitment to athlete development and coaching excellence.
Education: Obtained an Ontario Secondary School Graduation diploma (OAC) between 1979 and 1984, followed by an Honours Bachelor of Health and Sciences (BA Sc. Kin) from 1984 to 1989.

- Served as a coach for Brampton Minor Hockey at the AA and AAA levels from 1989 to 2017.
- Head instructor at Brampton Minor Hockey School (1997-2002).
- Brampton Minor Hockey Board Member (1997-2003).

Adam Poole
Adam Poole serves as the lead strength and conditioning coach at Flash Athletic Academy.
Adam brings a wealth of experience in both hockey and football, making him a versatile and dedicated coach and trainer. As a former Brampton AAA Minor Hockey player and 2006 AAA Ontario Minor Hockey Gold Champion, Adam’s roots in sports run deep. He further showcased his athletic prowess by securing a gold medal with Team Ontario Football in 2014 and earning a spot on the OUA All Rookie Team during his time as a student-athlete at McMaster University.
With a Seneca Fire Fighter Diploma and multiple coaching certifications, Adam has honed his skills in strength and conditioning, personal fitness, and functional training. His extensive coaching background includes roles as a Brampton minor hockey school instructor, AA assistant coach, and Brampton Minor Football assistant coach. Adam’s commitment to excellence and passion for developing athletes make him an invaluable asset to any sports program.

Kyle Helms
With an impressive background spanning both playing and coaching, Kyle brings a wealth of experience to the ice. As a player, he showcased his talent across various levels, from Triple A-Major Novice to Midget hockey. Kyle's dedication and skill earned him three years with the Junior B Cambridge Winterhawks, where he celebrated two Sutherland Cup Championships.
Taking his passion for hockey overseas, he spent 14 years playing professional hockey in Germany, competing in the DEL, DEL2, and Oberliga leagues. This international experience not only enriched his playing career but also deepened his understanding of the game on a global scale.
Transitioning to coaching, Kyle continued to share his knowledge and passion for hockey. Serving as a Sports Academy Hockey Coach in Germany, shaping the next generation of hockey players with his expertise. Additionally, he contributed to the development of young talent as a Minor Hockey Coach for U8 teams in Germany.
Returning to Canada, Kyle continued his coaching journey with the Wood Stock Junior C team, further honing his coaching skills and fostering talent at the junior level. Currently, he is making a positive impact as an Assistant Coach with the North Halton Twisters, bringing his extensive playing experience and coaching acumen to guide and inspire the team.
With a diverse background encompassing playing at various levels and coaching both nationally and internationally, Kyle is committed to nurturing talent, fostering growth, and instilling a love for the game in every player they mentor.
